Subject: [AYSO253] Field Day

Hello everyone.  It's time for soccer to start up again.  Practices will
start this week!  Due to the construction, we will be moving the U5/U6
soccer fields to the practice football field which is east of our fields.
For those that remember pictures in the fall, this is the field where we
took our pictures at.

We will be having a short field day tomorrow, Monday March 2nd at 5:30 PM.
The nets are most of the way up, but we need some help in tipping the goals
down to secure the nets to the bottom of the goals.  Also, we could use some
help in putting out our trash cans.  Please come by to help so we can get
this done fairly quickly.

More information about the season will be following, but I hope to see you
at the fields tomorrow to get things rolling!

Schedules for the games will be posted on the website as soon as they become
available.  We are only responsible for creating the U5 and U6 schedules
here in our region.  We are still quite possibly adding teams to those age
groups, so that is why those schedules are not completed yet.  I hope to
have them up by the beginning of the week.

The other age groups play interregional games and are scheduled by other
regions.  Each region is finalizing our teams so we can get an accurate
count for the schedulers.  Every region is dealing with late registrations
and last minute changes to teams and team counts.  This is what causes the
delay.As soon as they are completed, we'll get the schedules posted.

I have been made aware of what transpired at the coaches training last
night.  I'd like everyone to know that I have addressed this issue with the
area staff.  After my discussion with the area staff, they agreed with our
policy.  AYSO Region 253 will continue to allow practices once a week for 30
minutes for all U5 and U6 teams.  If you have any questions regarding this,

Subject: [AYSO253] AYSO is looking for help in staffing the tent on Saturdays

Good afternoon!  We are looking for volunteers to help staff our tent to
help sell concessions and hand out paperwork!   We would like to have a
volunteer from each team to be able to work a 30 minute to 1 hour shift in
the tent.  The tent will need to be manned from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm this
weekend.  We have placed a schedule for the tent on our website so you can
view available timeslots.  If you are able to help, we would really
appreciate it!  Simply e-mail rc at ayso253.org and let me know what shifts
you'll be able to help out with.  We will post your schedule on the website
to indicate which shifts have been spoken for.  This is something that we

All games scheduled to be played at Region 253 in Valley Center have been
canceled for March 28th.  The games for this weekend will be rescheduled for
Sunday, April 5th.  Add 4 hours to your starting that that was listed for
this weekend and that is the new starting time for next Sunday.  (Example:
If game was scheduled for 10am tomorrow, it will be played at 2pm on April
5th.)

I have also been given word that any games that were scheduled to be played
this weekend at Region 208 are also being canceled.  I have not been given
any information on the other regions, but your coaches should be notified if
the other regions cancel.  You can always check their websites which are
linked from our website at http://www.ayso253.org .
